Investigators said year-old Michael Hrobsky, a 16 year old Kronenwetter resident, and a 15 year old Weston resident, and a year-old Rothschild resident were taken into police custody in connection with the baseball bat assault of a year-old boy. Anita Christanga, 78, died four months after Brendan Lee Burton, who was 18 at the time, attacked her in her own home. A teenager who brutally attacked an elderly lady in her home suffered a broken jaw in a jail fight. She was left with serious injuries including a broken nose, jaw and eye socket, bleeding on the brain and six fractured ribs. It is unclear whether her death was a result of the beating and so Burton was arrested over the assault and charged with two counts of causing grievous bodily harm and committing a serious indictable offence.
As part of a plea deal, Zellmer pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree murder after deliberation on Feb. According to an affidavit released after Adams County District Judge Sharon Holbrook imposed the mandatory sentencing, Zellmer and Campbell left the house to go steal Pokeman cards and candy. The affidavit showed Zellmer hit Campbell in the head five times with a metal pipe and dragged her into a ditch, leaving her there to die.
